Soggy Pasta Christmas Day

We woke to the sound of slimy drip
Stockings burst and noodles slip
Sauce rolls out from under doors
Spaghetti thrown across the floors
Mom said Smile it's Santa's flair!
While cheese sauce hung from every chair
A single note in crimson pen
You did it Don't do it again

Soggy pasta in my stocking
Drip drip drip he's mocking
Santa's grin says Serves you right
He's spoiling Christmas out of spite
Cold spaghetti down the hall
Spelled out neatly: Screw you all
Drip drip drip no joy today
Soggy Pasta Christmas Day

Angel hair in Dad's recline
Alfredo in the snow oregano on the pine
The tree's collapsed the lights all stick
Spaghetti making the floors feel slick
We tried to pray we tried to clean
But Santa's rage is unforeseen
He laughed in sleigh tracks down the street
Left noodles steaming on the wreath

Soggy pasta in my stocking
Drip drip drip he's mocking
Santa's grin says Serves you right
He's spoiling Christmas out of spite
Cold spaghetti down the hall
Spelled out neatly: Screw you all
Drip drip drip no joy today
Soggy Pasta Christmas Day

We scrubbed the tiles till midnight struck
Lasagna on our roof gosh this sucks
Every drain sang soft and low
In a voice that whispered You should know

Soggy pasta in my stocking
Drip drip drip he's mocking
Santa's grin says Serves you right
He's spoiling Christmas out of spite
Cold spaghetti down the hall
Spelled out neatly: Screw you all
Drip drip drip no joy today
Soggy Pasta Christmas Day

Soggy pasta in my stocking
Drip drip drip he's mocking
Santa's grin says Serves you right
He's spoiling Christmas out of spite
We don't know what we've done
Now the stockings start to run
Drip drip drip no joy today
Soggy Pasta Christmas Day

The snow turned red the stars went dim
And bells rang out a dreadful hymn
We'll hang our socks again next year
And pray they drip with Christmas cheer
