Only Bao Please
Pop n Foodie
Only Bao Please follows a diner waiting through unwanted dishes until a steamer of bao finally arrives.
Lyrics
Steamer opens up
What do I see
Lotus root staring
Not meant for me
Smile on my face but my soul's in retreat
Only bao please
Only bao please
Spin the lazy Susan
I'm holding my breath
Shrimp rolls attack me
A near culinary death
Only bao please
Don't test my luck
Don't make me fake it
I'm already stuck
Taro's a trickster
Dumplings deceive
Only bao please
I beg
I plead
The waitress arrives with a confident stride
Her tray of betrayal
My panic can't hide
I reach for salvation but noodles collide
Only bao please
I just want to glide
Spin the lazy Susan
My heart skips a beat
Another wrong steamer
Another defeat
Only bao please
Don't test my luck
Don't make me fake it
I'm already stuck
Taro's a trickster
Dumplings deceive
Only bao please
I beg
I plead
The steamer comes down
I lift the lid slow
A perfect white cloud
And there it is, bao
Juice on my fingers, my worries all go
Only bao please
Finally home
Only bao please
Don't test my luck
Don't make me fake it
I'm already stuck
Taro's a trickster
Dumplings deceive
Only bao please
I beg
I plead
Only bao please
Don't test my luck
Don't make me fake it
I'm already stuck
Taro's a trickster
Dumplings deceive
Only bao please
I beg
I plead
